Dimitris picked us up at our hotel in Thessaloniki in his very nice taxi, which included snacks and cold waters. He drove us to the Philippi archeological site, where we saw the prison cell which once held Saint Paul. A quick visit to the museum, then on to the baptistry of Lydia and a great stop in Kavala. He knows all the best spots for photos, and shares wonderful local color to enhance your visits. From there we visited Kalamitsa Beach, and had lunch in Nea Peramos Beach. Dimitris knows all the best spots to visit and where to eat. He intercedes with locals for fresh news and shares freely with his guests. Highly recommended!
Dimitris arrived just as he said he would to our hotel in Delphi for the four hour drive to Thessaloniki. The dive was beautiful and comfortable through the winding mountains to the National Hwy. Along the drive, he answered our many questions about Greece and the area. He is a very kind man and we enjoyed the drive. He even stopped to let us take photos of Mt. Olympus and Thermopylae on the way. If we return, I will definitely contact him for transportation again.
We scheduled Dimitris for an all day private tour of Philippi and could not have been happier!
He constructed a thorough tour of all the sites we wanted to see, gave us great information along our route. He gave us time to see things at our own pace.
We saw everything we wanted, he drove safely and we stopped for lunch on our way back at a beautiful seaside restaurant for our lunch.

We we’re so lucky to have Dimitri drive us for 4 hours around Thessaloniki, very professional, on time, speaks good English , very knowledgeable about every place we visited, it is like you have a private tour guide and a driver in same time, also the price was half of what my hotel was offering me with their car, has a very clean Benz E model, provided cold water bottles and snacks FREE too, can’t recommend him enough…
Took a private tour with Dimitris Satidis and so glad we did. He took us and friends to two wineries up in the mountains behind Thessaloniki in the Naousa winemaking area. The first, Ktima Founti, is a small family run operation that specialized in the local varieties Malvasia Aromatika and
Xinomavro. The latter is a red grape that they make red, white, and rose from. Father and grandfather started the winery and make the wine now and their daughter is studying agriculture to take over the business. Dimitris called ahead for the reservation and made sure we had a great tour and tasting.
The second Ktima Kir Yiannis is a much bigger production with growing areas in Santorini and nearby Florina that specialized in Xinomavro, too, but also the local white Malagousia. Again, Dimitris arranged for a private tour for us. We ended with a meal at a wonderful spit-roasted meats restaurant that Dimitri’s recommended and made a reservation at. Great day! The wines were delicious and we learned a lot. Dimitris made the day fun, comfortable, and tailored to just what we wanted. Can’t wait to do another trip with him.
